 St. Joseph Catholic Academy
High School (9 - 12)

At St. Joseph Catholic Academy High School our students are challenged with a cutting edge curriculum.  We expose our students to a faith-based environment that promotes academic excellence, high moral standards and personal responsibility.  SJCA have many opportunities to excel in Academics, Spiritual Growth, Fine Arts and Athletics.

Daily Schedule
The school day runs from 7:35 a.m. – 2:50 p.m., except for Thursdays when there is an early dismissal due to faculty meetings. Each day consists of five 68 - minute class periods using a trimester or term system. Students must take five academic courses per trimester or 7 ½ credits per school year. Each school day has a homeroom, study hall and lunch period incorporated into the school day.

Curriculum
We provide a Curriculum Guide to assist our families with the many High School course selections, as well as Advanced Placement Courses for College Credit.  This handbook provides a summary of the program available for students at the High School of St. Joseph Catholic Academy and important policies, graduation requirements, and course descriptions.

Writing Center
In addition to the great courses we offer, we also have a very valued resource, our Writing Center with Sr. Virginia.  Acquiring the good writing skills necessary for success in college, as well as in life, presents a major challenge to many high school students.  The High School Writing Center helps students acquire better writing skills and is a place where students can get one-on-one help to improve their writing.  The Writing Center is open every day during student homeroom periods and after school on Mondays and Wednesdays.
