High School Academic Organizations

Each organization has a staff moderator who oversees their activities, goals and meeting times.

Available Academic Organizations

National Honor Society
This is an Honor Society to which students are elected by a faculty committee on the basis of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Sophomore and junior students with a GPA of 3.5 or better may apply for membership. National Honor Society members give time to tutor others in specific subjects, usher for the spring musical, conduct a leadership session for freshman in the fall, and sponsor an induction ceremony for new members.

 

Student Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors serve as messengers and representatives for the entire student body. This organization consists of students who areinterested in promoting a positive image of SJCA both in our school and the greater community.

 

Voice of Democracy
The Voice of Democracy is a speech contest open to high school students. Sponsored by the V.F.W., students compete against other local high school students for awards
